Thomas Haney Youth Park is one of the better skateparks in Maple Ridge if you like a mix of technical street skating and transition. The park has a large modern plaza layout with ledges, rails, stairs, banks, manual pads, and a flowy bowl section that lets you carry speed between different areas of the park. There's enough space to put together long lines, and the variety of obstacles keeps things interesting no matter what you're working on. The park can get busy after school since it's located right beside Thomas Haney Secondary, but the size helps spread everyone out. Beginners will find plenty of lower-risk features to learn on, while more experienced skaters can spend hours getting creative on the plaza section. If you're skating in Maple Ridge and want a park that offers a little bit of everything without feeling cramped, Thomas Haney is well worth a session.
